'Rambling Rosie' is a well-behaved Rambler that could technically be classified as a patio climber: at full size, she is about 3 metres tall and a little less wide. Unusually for a rambler, she carries her big clusters of small, semi-double, scarlet flowers continuously though the summer, about June to October. On poorer soils, she will still flower well and just grow a bit smaller. She has very little fragrance, so there is no need to plant her close to a path or seated area.

Bred by the great amateur rose breeder, Colin Horner (1933-2005), in 2001 and brought to market in 2005 by Warner's Roses in Devon. Her registration code is HORjasper. In addition to her Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit, she has a Golden Prize from the Glasgow Rose Trials (2010), a Bronze Certificate from The Hague Rose Trials in the same year, and a Gold Standard Rose Trials award from 2007.
