History & Trivia
Bred by Reimer Kordes (1922-1997), the heir of Wilhelm Kordes II, at Germany's W. Kordes & Sons (now called Kordes Rosen) in 1973. The parents are Friedrich Wörlein (another Kordes rose) and Spanish Sun. To this day, it's the only floribunda to bag the Gamble Award for Fragrance, and it holds four other rose competition awards, including the Royal National Rose Society Gold Medal in 1989. In other countries, it's sold as either Sunsprite or Friesia.
