Colt rootstocks are ideal for grafting your own cherry trees. Grafting is pretty straightforward and has a high success rate (all our varieties are grafted). While it's fun to make your own tree, for the amateur grower, grafting is generally most effective when you are trying to replicate an unknown variety or one which is no longer available commercially. Colt rootstocks are ideal for free standing bushes and half standards.
